Home

We are committed to be His instrument, to spread the Light and to see lives changed and communities transformed with the gospel of Christ in our life time.  As we move in the power of the Holy Spirit, this generation can be reached with the Good News.

Important Information

Historically, most of the growth of the Indian church has been concentrated in the southern and north-eastern parts of the country and it is true to this day. The Northwest part of the country is often neglected or often considered resistant to the Gospel thus bypassed by many missions and missionaries. It is often called "the North India-Hindi Belt."  The area stretches across north and central India and covers nine states: Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
Why is this area so important?
Northwestern India is a major population center and the Ganges River belt contains one of the most heavily populated regions of the world. If the state of Uttar Pradesh were a country, it would be the seventh most populous in the world; if Bihar were a country, it would be the thirteenth. Fifty percent of the total Indian population, some 550 million people, live in this portion of India.
It is a political center.
New Delhi is the capital and center of political power in India. Practically everything flows from this area of the country.
It is the religious hub of India.
This area of India is known as the heartland of Hinduism, a religion that boasts some 33 million gods. The Golden Temple, located in Amritsar, is the central worship place for all Sikhs in the world.  It is the birthplace of both Buddhism and Jainism. Some of the most revered Hindu and Buddhist shrines and places of pilgrimage are in this region. Muslims also have a strong presence, with some of their most important learning and worship centered in the area.
It has the smallest Christian presence in all of India.
According to the 2011 census the Christian population of India is only 2.3 percent of the total population or approximately 24 million people.   The largest populations of Christians are found in the south and northeast of India.
The fields are white for harvest.  John 4:34-36 NASB

34 Jesus *said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. 36 Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

WHAT WE DO

LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION seeks to Impact the Cities & Villages of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, India physically and spiritually with the Good News of Jesus Christ.  LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION seeks to train and place indigenous Church Planters in the Cities & Villages where there is no access to the Gospel. The Planters are sharing the good news of Jesus with those who have never before heard the gospel. They are already familiar with the language and culture, and they live among the people they serve, and thus communicate the gospel of Christ very effectively.

In our day-to-day life, it is easy to be so preoccupied with our own dreams and goals that we lose our eternal perspective and thus the joys of heaven and the crying needs of a lost world can seem unreal and far away.

India is a democratic and independent country. But still every time one question arises: - Why there is so much of discrimination, exploitation, deprivation unemployment, illiteracy, inequality and gender bias? We say everybody has equal rights and their own independence, but do you really think that our present condition is exactly what we say and think??

The answer is - NO. Why? The reason is:  the harsh reality is that more than 2.8 billion people of our generation are still unreached with the Gospel.
There is a Lack of Knowledge, Love and Care in the Society. There is still Darkness which means absence of Light. Actually, Darkness, itself is nothing. Absence of light is Darkness. If we don`t want this darkness then, we have to spread the light.

Today, we have the great privilege and opportunity of helping them come to know Jesus. If we will commit to live for what is eternal, this generation can be reached with the Gospel. “I believe it is the birth right of every person in India to hear the name of Jesus at least once in his or her life time. I also believe it is the responsibility of the global church to give them an opportunity to know who Jesus is”. It is my prayer that everyone will have a chance to hear the name of Jesus before they die.

John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten son..."

As His instrument we have to show His love & Concern to the World so that they may know Him. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" Matt. 5:16

World will see our works and glorify the Father.
We are trying to educate the less privileged Children & Adults.

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION would like to continue to serve as a Partner, giving you the opportunity to walk into the harvest fields of India and change the destiny of millions through your prayers and partnership with our national brothers and sisters. A few years from now, as you see lives changed and communities transformed, you will be glad you did!
